One-to-One Lessons
Similar to the group lessons but tailored to your individual needs. We come to you free of charge (if local) and can provide invaluable advice and demonstrations with your on-going projects. Especially useful if the work is too large to bring to a group session! There would be extra time to look at individual Strengths and Weaknesses.
Group Lessons
The scope of a group lesson will go from Thinking and Concepts, Your Motivation, Seeing, Drawing, Perspective-made-Simple, Demos of Watercolour/Impasto (thick paint – Acrylic). We will also cover your shopping List (advice on brushes, paint, papers and/or canvasses), to produce your first drawings or paintings with our attentive help.
How are the lessons structured?
Step 1
The ‘Idea’. What is your motivation? What do you want to paint? Why?
Step 2
Drawing. Composition. Eye to hand execution.
Step 3
Mediums and traditional main types of painting. Watercolour & Acrylic (Oils).
Step 4
Demonstrations of Watercolour and Acrylic. Students choose type.
Step 5
We discuss and explore the personal perspective of an object.
Step 6
Students pursue own work with remote help and guidance.
